Chris is civil litigation lawyer focusing on technically complex construction and technology issues. He has successfully prosecuted a variety of defect, delay, deficiency, breach of contract, builders' lien, negligence, debt, and collection actions, and he has represented owners and contractors in a variety of construction and technology matters. Chris's advice and representation with respect to technology is particularly informed by his background in software development and licensing projects for organizations in Canada, the United States, and the European Union. Chris's normal geographic focus is on actions in Western Canada, and he has accordingly handled actions before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen's Bench, the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench, and the Federal Court of Canada. He additionally acts in appellate and arbitration matters. Chris is licensed by the Law Societies of both BC and Alberta.
